Yes I know, me and you – we aren't alike,
I have come from far away soils,
And it's not the guitar I like,
It's the sound of violent tonsils.

Its not for the buildings or roads
Not for the dresses or fashion -
I spell out my poems for dragons,
For the clouds, for flowers and passion!

I love like those Arabs in deserts -
That knee to puddles to drink,
Not like a knight - all so pleasant,
That looks at the stars and thinks.

I won't die in the softness of roses,
With a doctor somewhere close,
But I will in some dirty fissures,
That are drowned in grasses and herbs!

So that I could enter the heaven,
Not the protestant one and corrupt,
But the one where pirates find haven,
Where shadows are sharp and abrupt!

Я и Вы

Да, я знаю, я вам не пара,
Я пришел из иной страны,
И мне нравится не гитара,
А дикарский напев зурны.

Не по залам и по салонам
Темным платьям и пиджакам —
Я читаю стихи драконам,
Водопадам и облакам.

Я люблю — как араб в пустыне
Припадает к воде и пьет,
А не рыцарем на картине,
Что на звезды смотрит и ждет.

И умру я не на постели,
При нотариусе и враче,
А в какой-нибудь дикой щели,
Утонувшей в густом плюще,

Чтоб войти не во всем открытый,
Протестантский, прибранный рай,
А туда, где разбойник, мытарь
И блудница крикнут: вставай!
